About Linda Greenfield

Although born in El Paso, Texas, Linda grew up in the rolling hills of pastures & woods in southeast Pennsylvania, near Valley Forge.  In 1973, her family moved to Miami, Florida where she finished her senior year of high school and has resided for most of her adult life.  After studying Biology and Psychology at Miami Dade Community College, Linda pursued a Biology degree at the University of Georgia where she worked in a genetics laboratory for several years.  Realizing she did not want to work in a lab as a lifelong career, she “followed her bliss” with animals and behavior, especially of horses and dogs.

After a successful 15 year career as a dog trainer, canine behavior consultant, and the owner of Wag Time Dog Training, Linda was inspired along new paths into health care.  Her own health issues in her late 30’s with early onset osteoarthritis pushed Linda to learn about a naturopathic approach to nutrition.  After “curing” her own osteoarthritis with nutrition and exercise, she was accepted into FIU’s competitive 3 year program for registered dieticians and nutritionists.  During this time Linda and her two sons began NAET and acupuncture treatments. Their results were so successful that NAET and Oriental medicine completely revolutionized Linda’s choices into holistic and complementary healthcare.  Linda quickly realized NAET and acupuncture were her true calling & passion, and she decided to study them instead.

Linda immersed herself in the intensive 36 month program of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Acupuncture Massage College (AMC) in Miami, FL.  This learning institution is the oldest licensed acupuncture school in Florida.  TCM treatment theory, acupuncture, Chinese medical massage called Tui na, Chinese herbs, western science and supervised clinical training are included in the demanding curriculum.  The curriculum at AMC exceeds the standards set by the State of Florida and by the National Commission of Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  Acupuncture Physicians in the State of Florida must complete the usual four year program of study of 2738 hours of professional training.  This is similar to the hours of study required of other medical professionals:  MD/DO require 2756 hours and DC require 2887 hours.

After graduation, where Linda was honored with the Award for Clinical Excellence in her class, she passed her National Board Examinations.  Linda received her license from the State of Florida as an Acupuncture Physician.  The Florida Department of Health recognizes Acupuncture Physicians as Primary Care Physicians.

Energy Kinesiology is the general term for using muscle testing to determine weaknesses in muscle, energy meridians, and other body functions.  (Over 50% of all chiropractors use muscle testing in their practices.)   Touch for Health (TFH) was the first structured Energy Kinesiology program that Linda studied.  After 62 training hours, she is certified at all four levels of Touch for Health.

All NAET practitioners must be a licensed professional healthcare provider.  Linda knew from her own NAET treatments that part of NAET was utilizing muscle testing to find allergies & other sensitivities.  She easily absorbed the NAET training program with her background in Oriental Medicine and TFH Energy Kinesiology.  Linda is a certified NAET Practitioner, listed on the http://www.NAET.com website.

Linda continues to study the many therapies in Energy Kinesiology.  Currently she is attending a part time, year long program in Professional Kinesiology Practice in which she has completed 160 hours of PKP 1, 2, and 3 training.

Linda is a member in good standing in the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Florida State Oriental Medical Association, the American Herbalists Guild, & the Touch for Health Kinesiology Association.

Linda believes that Acupuncture, Energy Kinesiology & other Energetic Therapies will become standard treatment practices of the future.  They excel as preventative, as first line treatment therapies, & are often a key for chronic conditions.  They are truly complementary as they can be used without side effects while clients need to take medications & undergo western medical treatments.  Learning as much as what is available about Energetic Medicines, especially Acupuncture, NAET and Energy Kinesiology has become Linda’s lifelong quest.
